Cookie Policy

The short version

  • HailMe uses one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner to click through.
  • If you block cookies, you can still send requests and read public pages, but you won't be able to sign in.

1. The cookie we use

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. HailMe sets only a cookie that is strictly necessary for signing in, which doesn't need your consent:

2. Other browser storage

A request you're writing is saved in your browser's session storage, so switching apps on your phone or refreshing the page doesn't lose it. It's deleted when you send the request or close the tab, and never leaves your device until you send it.

3. Third parties

Cloudflare Turnstile checks that requests come from people, not bots. It runs on the request and contact forms in a small frame from Cloudflare, and may use information about your browser and device, and store what it needs for that check. Cloudflare explains this in its own privacy policy.

Profile photos are loaded from our storage provider without cookies. We don't use analytics, advertising or social media trackers.

4. Your control

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you won't be able to stay signed in to HailMe, but you can still view pages and send requests. Signing out removes it.
